Toluna is one of the global leaders in online research panels and opinion survey technologies. They run a large number of panels in many different countries, across the continents. They are a professional research company who conduct genuine research on a wide range of topics.

Our Toluna Survey Panel Review

The Toluna survey panels are run more like online communities, where quick questions can be asked and answers given. They also send out regular survey questionnaires by email and offer you the chance to participate in new product testing (depending where you live).

We have been members of our country's Toluna panel (formerly called Test and Vote) since 2005 and still regularly (several times a week) get invitations to complete their surveys, which can be on a whole range of interesting subjects, but generally focus on existing consumer products and services, as well as ideas for new products and services. The community part of the site is unique in the online survey world at the moment and you can participate in quick polls, ask you own questions, give an extended opinion, and put your name forward to test products when the opportunities arise. It is a very varied survey panel experience and Toluna are clearly a professional research company with millions of members worldwide.

Toluna Rewards

You receive points for each full research survey you qualify for and then complete. You can also receive further points for being active in your own panel community, answering other quick polls created by sponsors, giving a well-written and considered opinion on a topic or question, and also for testing new products. These points are redeemable for a variety of tempting reward options, such as online gift cards, shopping vouchers, or entries into the regular Toluna sweepstakes and prize draws where you can win some great prizes. Some of the Toluna country panels offer Amazon gift cards and others cash payments as reward options, but not all do, so you should check the rewards on offer before you sign up if these would be the only rewards you are interested in. It is easy to redeem your points at Toluna and we have always received the rewards we requested without any problems.

The Good

• This is a trusted panel and it pays out the rewards specified.
• The email invitations state how long the survey should take and what your points reward will be if you fully qualify for the survey and then complete it.
• There are a very good selection of rewards, particularly Amazon gift cards, other shopping vouchers, and cash payments (depending where you live).
• In our experience the Toluna panel community is very active with regular invitations to complete surveys and many sponsored quick community polls. Points can accumulate quickly if you participate regularly.
• Point redemption threshold for some rewards (such as sweepstakes and prize draw entries) can be very quickly reached.

The Bad

• Occasionally the point rewards for surveys are not that generous, but you can choose which surveys to take and avoid those that you think do not reward you in a fair manner.
• The points redemption threshold for some of the best rewards (such as Amazon vouchers - if offered) can be quite high and take a little longer to reach than other rewards, depending how often you take full surveys and complete quick polls.
